A WOMAN has been sentenced to four years in jail after being found guilty of stabbing a man at a Redditch petrol station last year. Ann Marie Bogle, 36, and from West Bromwich, was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Friday, February 26 after being found guilty of grievous bodily harm and the possession of an offensive weapon. She was arrested on Wednesday, April 8 after a man in his 50s was stabbed with a knife at the Texaco Garage along the Birmingham Road in Bordesley, Redditch. The man suffered a puncture wound to his shoulder during the incident but has since made a full recovery. Even though the victim chose not to press charges himself, it was decided that proceedings should go ahead without his testimony. DC Ashok Kumar said: “We strongly believe that anyone committing a crime of this nature should come before the courts, even if the victim does not wish to testify. “We are pleased with the outcome of this case and hope that the result and the decision to proceed with a so-called ‘victimless prosecution’ will make offenders, particularly those involved in domestic violence, think twice.” redditchadvertiser.co.uk
