| Police appeal for information after burglary |

POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary in the Southcrest area of Redditch this morning Friday, January 8. Property worth about £3,000 was stolen from a house in Hollowfields Close between the hours of 12.30am and 6.45am. This included a black 40inch Sony LCD flat screen TV, a blue Sony Blu-ray player and assorted Blu-ray DVDs, a Nintendo Wii with games, a Playstation 2 with games, various items of clothing and an Aston Villa fleece plus a black leather wallet from Next containing about £100 in cash, bank cards and other personal documents. A black LG Viewty mobile phone was also stolen during the burglary. Pc Amanda Moorhouse from Redditch police said: “We are appealing to anyone who noticed any unusual activity in Hollowfields Close or the surrounding area on Friday morning to give police a call at the earliest opportunity. “A large amount of property was stolen which included some fairly distinctive items and again, if anyone is offered any of these items for sale in suspicious circumstances in the days ahead, please let us know.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Redditch police on 0300 333 3000 (quoting incident no 71-S-080110) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. redditchadvertiser.co.uk
